Technology Ball hosts, sponsors and planning committee members gathered for a networking reception at the home of BravoTECH CEO, Valerie Freeman earlier in August.
Attending the event were IT executives from all across the DFW metroplex. Valerie Freeman welcomed the group to her home and shared her support of the STEM-related cause of Technology Ball then Trude Van Horn, CIO of NCH Corporation, shared some staggering statistics about the STEM workforce-shortage. She impressed upon the group the importance of encouraging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) as a discipline of choice for young people, to create more job candidates for the growing number of jobs in STEM fields. Finally, Karen Krygowski Bruno, President & Founder of Digital Conduit further emphasized the STEM advocacy of Valerie and Trude and then shared information about the new Technology Ball nonprofit partner, MentorNet.org.
The Technology Ball was held on November 8, 2014. For more details on the event please visit www.technologyball.com
